Then we decided to seek refreshments at a gorgeous location - 'The Garden Station' near Langley.
The Garden Station is a restored Victorian railway station in a woodland setting and has a cafe as well as providing courses in Gardening, Environment, Art, Sculpture and Writing. The cafe uses seasonal, local and organic ingredients and specialises in real, tasty dishes, including excellent soups and home-baked bread.
There are plenty of photo opportunities including several wire sculptures along the trail from the cafe.
There are also many unusual and beautiful plants. This mushroom in the woods was almost surreal!

It looks a lovely day out. I've been meaning to visit The Garden Station. I would pass by the road end on my way to Cumbria, but always on the way to somewhere else.
