SUMMER MERINGUES!

I hope you like meringues!

I made these today as I had some spare berries in the fridge. These meringues are made with icing sugar rather than caster sugar - they are delicious and have a really chewy centre! I've filled them with fresh cream, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and my favourite - raspberries! MMMMmmmmmmmm!

I think we will have tea in the garden tonight as it is such a nice evening.

yummmm I know you are calling them meringues, but here in Aust, once you have put cream and fruit we call them pavlova...however mostly a 'pav' is one large 'cake' you cut into pieces, but I prefer the individual ones..love the little choc leaf! I also spread the bottoms with choc...and this helps to handle them! Well thats my excuse for adding chocolate ;)) Oh and yes the meringue and pav recipes vary a little depending on if you want marshamallow centre! Wish I could join you in eating them now :)
